Special welcome to our two new clubs Souths and Flyerz. Souths and Flyerz were with us a number of years ago and it is great to have them back. I know many people will wish you a successful return to Bankstown.

Remember that all registration fees and late registrations need to be sorted out next Tuesday, 16th March from 6pm onwards. Please be early as the Council Meeting commences at 7pm promptly.

Our 13 years Squad needs additional players. If you have a talented 13 year old that is playing with your club, please let Virginia Riseham know so that we can assess their suitability for our 13 year Squad team. The Squad teams are coached once a week and attend 4 Carnivals. The experience improves their club netball as well as giving them a new and exciting experience.

Selections for 11 Squads will be held on Sunday 21st March with sign on at 9:00am for a 9:30am start. Nomination forms must be in the hands of the Secretary on Saturday 20th March. On the 24th March, the Selection Panel will be selecting 17s, 21s, Opens, 35s, 40s and 45s so get your forms in ready to trial.

Bankstown City Council are offering Free Sports Development workshops during February and March. The workshops will be held at Bankstown Memorial Oval Clubhouse. They are open to all coaches, volunteers and officials. Registration is essential. Thursday 18th March 6pm - 8:30pm Disability Education Workshop This workshop will help club members learn how to adapt and modify physical activities to better include people with a disabiliyt. Learn to develop strategies that minimise disadvantage and gain an understanding of the concept of inclusion.

Wednesday 24th March 6:30pm - 8:30pm Subsidised Resuscitation Workshop $20 per person for the first 13 people to register - $35 thereafter. The course is for anyone 15 years and over interested in learning the correct methods of 'mouth-to-mouth' resuscitation and external cardiac compression. All successful participants will be issued with a Workcover approved resuscitation certificate valid for one year. 

Wednesday 31st March 6:00pm - 8:30pm Diffusing Conflict Learn practical strategies to deal with conflict and implement procedures that aim to minimise conflict within a club setting.

Tuesday 21st April 6pm - 8pm Sports Rage The aim of this workshop is to help sporting clubs create a positive sporting environment and learn to manage any incidents of sports rage. Outlines policies, processes and personnel can be put in place to presevent and manage sports rage.
